Pall Corporation, a global filtration, separation and purification company, has inaugurated the Pall Life Sciences Center of Excellence (CoE) at its new Zhangjiang site in Shanghai, China. The new Center of Excellence, which offers biopharmaceutical process solutions, technical and validation support as well as training, extends Pall’s local capabilities for its growing base of life sciences customers in the region. “This year marks the 20th anniversary of Pall’s expansion into China. The opening of the Shanghai Life Sciences Center of Excellence is another milestone in Pall’s development in China,” says Larry Kingsley, chairman and CEO of Pall Corporation. “The new Centre of Excellence not only reinforces our commitment to investing in the region, but also makes it easier for customers in the area to do business with us.” The new CoE is fully equipped with the most advanced capabilities for process demonstration, testing and validation. Customers also can consult with Pall experts about equipment selection, installation and adjustment. Integrated with the CoE at the Shanghai facility is a branch office that serves both the company’s Life Sciences and Industrial customers. More than 200 employees work at the 8,600 square meter Shanghai facility, which provides filtration, separation and purification solutions for a range of industries. “China is an important market for Pall and long-term, favorable economic trends give us the confidence to continue development in the potentially high-growth region,” says Hang Gek Low, vice president of Pall China. “The establishment of the Shanghai CoE enhances our ability to service customers in the area while enabling us to provide dedicated support for Chinese enterprises exploring overseas markets.”
